Family of late Team Eternity member addresses speculations on cause of death

The family of Nhyira Marfo Okyere, a beloved member of the renowned gospel music group Team Eternity Ghana, has issued a statement to set the record straight regarding the cause of her untimely passing. Nhyira sadly departed on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, sparking widespread speculation about the circumstances surrounding her death. However, the family has categorically denied claims that she succumbed to food poisoning, as rumoured on social media.


In a statement signed by family head Eric Agyei Mante, they expressed distress over the unfounded and unsubstantiated rumours circulating online. "We wish to categorically state that these claims are completely untrue and unfounded," the statement emphasized. The family clarified that the actual cause of Nhyira's death has not been determined and urged the public to refrain from spreading false information.
